Follow my triumphs and failures in achieving “domestic diva” status. Sure, I’m an attorney, but I can cook, clean, and DIY in my spare time, right?
Hi! I’m Tasha and I’m a 27 year old attorney. It’s what I’ve wanted to be since college and I put my nose to the grindstone ever since. Here I am. Voila.
But achieving my goal hasn’t come without a price. I didn’t backpack Europe or volunteer in a third-world country. I didn’t have time for any hobbies. And I certainly never learned to cook or clean.
So, I’m making up for lost time. In the past year – my first year of law practice – I’ve worked to become a better attorney and a better person. It turns out I can plan and decorate a pretty kickin’ party. I can take a plain piece of cloth and embroider a hip design. I can repaint a dresser. I can grow vegetables and then cook them. And they’re occasionally edible!
As I approach my 28th birthday, I’ve refined my goals into a “30 before 30” list. (Starting a blog is one of my items – check mark for me!) I’ll reveal my list soon enough, but let’s just say that I have some serious work to do. And hopefully you’re the ones to benefit. Although I’ve dabbled in gardening, party planning, home improvement and design, embroidery, cooking, cleaning, and even raising our dog, Jack — I have a lot more learning to do.
For now, you can contact me by posting a comment on one of my entries. I’m definitely open to suggestions and want to become the best blogger I can be! If you want to see some of my projects, check out my Flickr page here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tmw715/.
